Mark has a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. For 10 years he was managing editor of Origins Research, the predecessor of Origins & Design. His articles on science and science education have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, Moody, Citizen and many other newspapers and magazines. He is currently editor of Focus on the Family's Teachers in Focus magazine.
Mark lives somewhere near the Rocky Mountains with his wife and two children. His favorite hobbies are reading things he doesn't have to edit and drinking Starbucks coffee. If he gets enough Starbucks, he also plays guitar.
