Informed by the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics,
scientists tell us that the universe will ultimately die a heat death.

The universe has not yet died a heat death.
It follows that the universe is not eternal but had a beginning.

PS - If a multiverse exists, it would require an eternally existing,
omnipotent universe generator ... aka God.
