Dr. Mills received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan and spent 35 years on the medical school teaching and research faculty at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. For the past 12 years he has applied his research training and experience to developing a Christian view of evolution and the origin of life, culminating in a series of publications. This view was initially termed a "Design Theory of Theistic Evolution", but he is now referring to it as a "Design Theory of Progressive Creation". Dr. Mills has authored about 20 papers dealing with this subject, most appearing in Perspectives on Science and Christian Faith, with others in Origins & Design, and in Christian Scholar's Review.
